Autumn Leaves Reimagined | Handmade Paper Cards & Upcycled Vessels Workshop
Turn autumn leaves into beautiful, practical pieces to take home.
Time & Location
Oct 31, 2026, 2:00 PM – 4:00 PM
Summerhall, 1, Summerhall, Edinburgh EH9 1PL, UK
About the event
This hands-on workshop explores how fallen autumn leaves and everyday objects that might otherwise be thrown away, such as yoghurt pot lids, glass jars and lotion containers, can be given a new purpose and transformed into something beautiful.
We will begin by turning fallen leaves into a mouldable creative material by washing, cutting, simmering and further processing them. Next, we will use this leaf-based material to decorate upcycled containers, giving them natural textures and a unique handmade character.
While our creations begin to dry, we will also combine processed leaf fibres with recycled paper pulp and explore the art of hand papermaking, creating a handmade card or paper bookmark.
This workshop invites you to work creatively with fallen leaves, bringing the colours and textures of autumn into everyday life while exploring our relationship with materials, objects and the environment.
